For sale: 1989 Pao Nissan
Specifications
The other cooler was option No. 307, fitted to my S 500 L. This larger cooler is trunk mounted and has the capacity for four six-packs of alluminun cans or six bottles of champagne (see pic below). This cooler can be taken out of the trunk and used with 120/240V electricity with a provided converter. The converter is also capable of charging the car's battery directly through the fridge connection. Also, it does not need the "Sky Bag" option, leaving the gas tank untouched with its original capacity. One more advantage of the trunk mounted cooler is that it also could be used as a frozen box (for ice and such). The rear central armrest unit did not had the frozen capability.

This 89 model Pao was advertised on Facebook marketplace in January 2023, and with just 134,000km on the clock it's surprisingly cheap asking just $9,500 AUD. There are very few of these that have been imported to Australia, and some others we've seen have been asking a lot more in the past. There were around 31,000 of these cars built in total, so globally they are relatively rare - presumably not too many are on the road in Japan.. These cars were offered alongside Nissan's other retro brands (like the Figaro and BE-1).
In the original advertisement, the seller noted the following: Maintained well but has some rust issues (minor comparing to others) front door will need to be replaced (replacement incoming) as the seals have rusted and taken metal with it. Few spots that will need to be looked at eventually. 987 cc of fury definitely feels a lot faster when the suspension is made of play-dough and the brakes are painted on."
