For sale: 1974 1300 GT Austin

Spotted on Ebay Australia in February 2024, with a buy it now price of $10,500 AUD. The seller at the time made the following comments: 1974 Austin 1300 GT for sale. Very rare car in Australia. Would have been a private import at some stage from the UK as these vehicles were not built in Australia. The vehicle is in completely original condition showing 65,532 miles. With original paintwork, this vehicle starts and drives. Mechanically, the car is very good, and currently is on club rego: which is not transferable. We can, however, assist with club rego in New South Wales. The car would make a great starting point for a complete restoration. The vehicle comes standard with 1275 cc engine, twin carbs, disc brakes, Webasto sunroof etc. Unfortunately the vehicle has suffered from hail damage approximately 10 years ago. The hail damage is mainly to the bonnet and top of front guards and drivers side of car. Also has damaged the material on the Webasto sunroof. These vehicles come standard with a vinyl roof which was also damaged by hail and has been removed. The vehicle must have been imported very early in its life as it has very little rust. There is surface rust, mainly in the boot and front doors which should all be very easily repaired, no holes. Floor pans and sill panels are all in excellent condition
