This glorious 1950 47’ Ed Monk Sr. Custom Double Cabin Cruiser was advertised online in October 2023, asking $225,000 USD.The seller at the time noted that they had fully restored it and had keen attention to detail and history as she rightfully deserves.

She’s a custom one off (one of a kind), been fully modernized and extensively upgraded, meticulously maintained, and an original Wooden Northwest Classic Yacht. 2 forward staterooms plus salon pullout futon sleeping 7 and dining for up to 10, full sized galley with original cast iron stove and stainless fridge (kitchen), all original full head with cast iron/porcelain tub (bath) and forward 1/4 head, tall windows with original glass, new upholstery, new electrical, new plumbing, integrated BOSE sound, flatscreens, etc, all original and restored, classic teak, mahogany, white oak, cedar, sole, and bronze throughout. She’s truly stunning with her teardrop cabin walls to canoe transom and is designed to be a long range cruiser and live aboard by the Northwest’s premier yacht designer Ed Monk Sr. Wiki him and you’ll see her featured. Perfect to cruise the Sound and win a few Classic Yacht awards while you’re at it. Simply the most charming classic yacht you’ll find… anywhere.

She’s moored on Seattle’s Lake Union at a live aboard slip that is close to everything in Seattle including the Burke Gilman trail, restaurants, Amazon and downtown, UW, and fully transferable. Also comes with a comprehensive maintenance contract if you’d like someone else to take care of the brightwork.

She’s all wood and bronze, heavily built (double planking, ribbing, etc.), 47’ LOA, 12.9’ beam (width), 6.8’ draft (depth in water- she is very deep and stable), 28T wet weight, holds 450 gallons of fuel and 150 gallons fresh water, Koehler 3.5k generator, Outback 3500W inverter - battery maintenance, 800W 60A Solar, wireless navigation, GPS, AIS, VHF, radar, Whitehall dinghy, etc. and is powered by a single Detroit 671 diesel that purrs with new exhaust and uses 1.5-2 gallons per hour at a cruising speed of 7-9 knots (incredibly economical for long range cruising).
